“UTAGE” (woo-ta-ge) is a Club Event started by people who wanted to “Offer a place for communication beyond nationalities” in one of the most international cities in the world…. Bangkok!

The concept of this club event comes from our thoughts that sounds and visual images can be experienced and enjoyed like one of the five human senses - “Taste”. In the same way “Taste” has “Sweet” and “Spicy”, sounds and visual images also have ways of expressing “Tone” and “Feelings”. We want people to discover new sounds, visual expressions and friendships through this event.

This plan was established by a collaboration between “DUDE-MAGAZINE.COM” ( a Japanese website dedicated to Japanese locals and tourists on how to enjoy Bangkok ) and “Twisted Republic” ( one of Bangkok’s most accessible Clubs ).

We will also emphasis on the presence of “Sound, Visuals and the meaning of connecting with it” Our music genre will be based around Dub and Lounge beats but with a lighter taste. We will mostly have a relaxed pace of sound and the DJ’s will be sure to maintain this pace during the event. However, we will not just end it as a “Soft-Lounge Event”. We will also be mixing-in twists of Upper-House and Progressive House to make sure the crowd doesn’t fall asleep and keep them on their toes. "MUSICOLONY" was formed to present sophisticated sound and visuals with original Japanese flavor.

    All-round experienced DJ who can create the best atmosphere possible for any event from clubs in Tokyo/Bangkok, store opening events to wedding parties. Masa is a vinyl collector, who loves and shares good old sound with all music lovers on the floor.

    Goro started djing in full swing about a year ago getting the best out of his huge collection of music and his sense of sound selection. He has been part of club music scene in big cities from Tokyo, L.A. to Bangkok today and his quest for great music.

    (age: 29/Years spent in BKK: ? years/Vjed @Twisted , Summer Splash 2008 etc..)
    Since his VJ debut at Flix (RCA) on New Year’s party last year, he has already vjed for more than 10 events including outdoor big parties. He uses web camera to create images, which are very comical and original.

    KEN - ORGANIZER / Motion Artist
    (age: 28/Years spent in BKK: 4 years/VJed @Mystique, Flix(RCA), 808, etc..)
    Ken has vjed for over 100 indoor/outdoor events since his move to Thailand from Japan in 2004. With his wide experience and knowledge in music and IT, his role goes beyond vjing but into the entire event organization with a great sense of image production.

About Birthday Privilege’s :
Any customer whose birthday falls on the same day as a “UTAGE” Event can receive a special “UTAGE Cocktail” for free, friends included. Proof of Birth Date is required and must be shown to receive free cocktails.
